Badges that look like buttons!
That's what Oscar Wilde said.
Which got us thinking because we make badges the size of a button and from time to time we even make badges that look like buttons.
So is that life imitating art or art imitating life?
We like to think it's a bit of both.
Badges that look like buttons is definitely art imitating life, but it sort of works the other way too because a button can be a work of art and a badge has a life of its own.
Like with this set of badges we made based on pearlised buttons. Definitely a bit of both. Pinned on clothing, you had to get really close to see that they weren't real buttons!
And a school once used our plain silver badges as fake buttons that were pinned on soldier uniforms worn in a school play (saved a lot of sewing, not to mention the cost of finding and buying shiny buttons!). Definitely a bit of both too.
